Hi, i think this script is what i am looking for.
But when i want to fill in the affiliate id i get this message” You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

I have a test site at http://beseen.addmine.com

You’ll see a link for SoftShop in the top menu bar. Clicking that link opens a directory of categories, but clicking on a category link reverts to the home page… cat not found.

Any idea of what is/not happening here?

This would be an awesome plugin if it worked at all. I get the category listings but when I click on any category it just opens a page with no content.

If you are going to build a page dedicated to the plugin that you made, then you should at least update it once in a while.

If you spend some time on this and get it right, I am sure a bunch of us would pay for the plug in.. but right now it’s useless..in the real sense of the word as I and a few that have posted are getting error messages when trying to use and/or activate.

Please let me know if you get things up and running. Could be a great product!

To those getting this error:

“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

You need to access setup page via wordpress > plugin > software shop > settings.

NOT via WP admin sidebar setting!

Fix to the “Permissions Error” on WordPress 3:

The url in the Config/Software Shop link is wrong. When you get the error go to the url pane in your browser the link will look like this:
wp-admin/options-general.php?page=SoftwareShop

You need to put a space into SoftwareShop so it looks like this:
wp-admin/options-general.php?page=Software Shop

And then load the url again, that should do it.

It’s been a year since Csaba has last been commenting on this post, don’t know if he’s been by, but if he does check it, could we get a peep if you are working on this or have dropped it?

I have a clean install of WP 3.0.1 (Latest at this time) and installed your plugin.
When I click a category it dosent work.

If you can operate this plugin without the need of help, then you should write your own Plugin.
