I know it doesn’t sound right, but I think that Google Maps is now more important than Google’s notorious Internet search service. Obviously, I have my reasons, and the most important of them is the fact that you can’t spam Google Maps…
… and the large crowd of plugins like jMapping seem to make Google Maps even better! OK, so what’s the catch with this one? According to the official mumbo-jumbo, jMapping “is designed for quick development of a page that implements a Google Map with a list of the locations that are specified within the HTML.”
If the above doesn’t seem to make things clear, I think you should take a look at the examples, and then at the usage instructions.
Before anything else, jMapping requires a Google Maps API key, as well as jQuery, jQuery Metadata, MarkerManager and MapIconMaker. Covered by the terms of the MIT license, it should work with any major browser having Java enabled. If you discover any kind of problems, please feel free to drop a comment below.
