Fortunately, there are plenty of great tools available for free, so if you want to ease your life, you don’t really have to start paying for tools that can help you. Today, the time has come to tell you a few words about Surface iPhone UI Kit, so let’s get to it, shall we?

This excellent freebie know as Surface iPhone UI Kit was designed to cover all the common UI elements of the iPhone, being one hell of a choice for those in need to quickly design user interfaces of iPhone apps. Also great for wireframing, Surface iPhone UI Kit includes two PSD files – one for the Retina resolution and one for standard (pre iPhone 4) resolution. More than just that, you can also mess with the set and obtain interface elements that can be easily used to “dress” iPad apps, even programs built to run on Android and Windows phones!

Other than the above, I think there’s nothing much left to be said – after all, designing a user interface is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, so… start sweating with Surface iPhone UI Kit, will you? Good luck! ;)

Unfortunately, those days are now gone, and now I arrived to that point where simplicity of a website is what I appreciate before anything else. Considering these, if I would look at FlashButtons from my Internet user point of view, I would say that there’s nothing special about this site, but since I try to keep a clear mind here, I am sure there will be some of you who will appreciate it, so…
Flash Buttons
… meet FlashButtons, the free easy and fast Web-based solution that allows you to create animated Flash menus in the blink of an eye! If you really think that menus with Flash buttons can give your site any kind of advantage over your competition, then let me tell you just a few words about how to use this tool!

With FlashButtons, everything is pretty straightforward – after you choose the favorite button style by clicking on it (just be aware that 3 pages of designs to choose from are available!), you need to enter text and links for each menu item, the optional target frames, number of buttons per line, and background color. Once all the above is done, you have to click the button at the end of the page, and then click the Free Download button and get you SWF file!

At last, you should also take a look at the installation instructions, and simply copy and paste the HTML code into your own page’s source code. That’s all, folks. Have fun!

Compatibility: as long as you have installed the Flash player plugin, and you’re not using some text-based browser, everything should work fine; I tried FlashButtons in Internet Explorer 8, Safari, Opera, Firefox, Flock and Google Chrome, and it works like a charm in all of them

No, it has nothing to do with the fictional war between mankind and robots from Terminator, and it’s not even a movie… but it’s a good way to enjoy yourself while creating some buttons for your Web projects. Even better, it’s free!
Buttonator
Buttonator is one of those straightforward online tools offering more than meets the eye. For example, you can create 10 buttons and download them all at once, using the “batch download” feature, and when it comes to customizing your button, you can change font properties, button style and size, as well as adding some advanced effects like shadows or glow.

At last, you should know that Buttonator also offers some icons to add to your buttons, including arrows, bullets, folders and other categories. On the other hand, you can just save icons and use them independently. The product is updated on a regular basis, and registering for a free account will surely improve your experience with Buttonator. That’s all, folks!
