Developing WordPress themes can be a real pain in the back, especially if you want to do this for a project of your own and you come up with new ideas on a daily basis. In times like these, you realize how easy can be to feel like killing some of your clients who have only one fault: no accurate idea on what they want, so new things appear during the entire development process. Today, you may get lucky – it’s one premium WordPress theme or its value as PayPal cash. Which one do you choose?

WPtouch

If you encountered difficulties reading your WordPress based website or blog on your mobile device, WPtouch is the solution. Kish Multi

If you have multiple blogs, you need a simple tool to maintain all of them very simple and easy. Kish Multi is a perfect tool for you. It helps you to maintain multiple blogs from a single blog. Kish Multi uses Ajax, this way there is only one page to load.

With Kish Multi you can write new posts for all your blogs. This means you can write text with TinyMCE editor, assign categories, upload images, add videos, add tags, schedule posts and assign categories.

You can also moderate comments on all blogs managed by this plugin. You can reply to a comment, mark a comment as spam and pending. An additional feature which is not available with the default wordpress installation is reply via email. All the comment reply sends and email to the author of the parent comment.. With Kish Multi you can also cross post a post from one blog to other blogs.

If you are using All in one seo plugin, you can add the custom title, description and keywords into the fields provided.

The installation is very simple. Download the plugin, unzip the files and upload them to the plugins directory. Don’t forget to make the upload directory inside the uploadify folder. The images are temporarily uploaded to this folder

TweetPress

Everybody knows what is Tweeter. Some people use it to stay in contact with their friends and others use it to post their thoughts. Today I recommend a plugin for Wordpress which gives you total control and ownership of the photos you post to Twitter.

TweetPress not only helps you to post your photos from your Wordpress blog, but also sends traffic back to your own blog instead of a third party site. Until now you could post your photos to Tweeter only using a 3rdparty service. First you had to post them on Mobypicture or Twitpic and then post the URL from that service to your Tweeter page.

Using TweetPress you won’t send traffic to other sites, all the traffic will come to your blog or your website. With TweetPress you will also have total control over your online gallery.

TweetPress features a full API for developers, this way anyone can integrate any Tweeter client with Wordpress.

To install and configure it only takes a few minutes. Download it from here, unzip it and upload it to wp-content/plugins folder. Don’t forget to activate the plugin from admin page. After that go to TweetPress settings page and select which page you would like the gallery to appear on. Then set your image hosting service inside the Twitter client you are using to TweetPress.You will need to enter the URL of your website/blog, username and password.

I hate CAPTCHA on sites that I use frequently, especially since most of them use only letters, and sometimes I don’t understand the text displayed. If everyone would be nice and switch their text CAPTCHA pages to ones using images, that would really be awesome, at least to me. Well, they can use VidoopCAPTCHA, so there’s no excuse for not doing it… since I know a lot of people like me who would be grateful!

To make a short story shorter, I will tell you that VidoopCAPTCHA is a completely free image-based verification tool for those afraid they’ll have more spam accounts created automatically on their site than normal accounts, with a person behind them. Sure, bot attacks aren’t exactly pleasant, but text-based verification isn’t, either – at least for those human users…

Since you can set the number of images displayed, as well as the number of those required to identify a human, I think that VidoopCAPTCHA is a great idea, and that’s enough for me. I only hope to see it on my favorite sites as soon as possible… or at least to see a similar solution being implemented, if the multitude of plugins/code snippets available for this one aren’t enough…

Text-based CAPTCHA is dead, long live VidoopCAPTCHA!

Turning a PSD file into a WordPress template can be a really tricky job, and I say this after doing a few PSD slicing jobs, and also knowing people seriously involved into the graphics/Web design field who would do anything but that. Anyway, let’s stop complaining about tough Photoshop tasks, because for almost any such thing out there, a plugin/action should be available, and when it’s not, you can try to do it yourself. Fortunately, this time I just found a piece of gold…

Bikini chicks are surely divine, as long as they aren’t exceeding legal weight and age to wear them, and so everything in the image above fits perfectly the topic – we have Adobe Photoshop, we have a WordPress theme with bikini chicks, and we also have the awesome freebie called Divine. Pretty sweet, don’t you think?

While working with Divine isn’t as easy as 1-2-3, I am sure that professionals will find that turning PSD templates into WordPress themes becomes like a walk in the park with the help of this plugin.

Once you open your PSD template, you need to assign every WordPress element to a certain part of the image, and then set all needed FTP parameters to upload the theme to your WordPress-based site. Since the official project page has details about everything you need to know, including video tutorials, I will close this story right here, right now.

Compatibility: basically, this one should work with at least Photoshop 7.0, and the resulting themes, with any WordPress version… sometimes after some manual tweaking, of course!

About Me 3000 WP Widget ver.1.4 Released

Added MySpace, StumbleUpon, YouTube and LinkedIn profiles
Added ability to disable Feedburner counter image

WordPress Theme Generator

One of the most painful parts of setting up a WordPress blog – at least for me – is choosing the theme. There are plenty of awesome free themes, as well as commercial ones, but it still feels the best when you do it yourself. The problem is that most theme generators don’t come for free, so finding a free online tool for creating WordPress themes really made my day!

WordPress Theme Generator allows you to create your own WordPress theme without even having to know what HTML, JS, PHP or CSS are, not to mention any kind of serious knowledge!

With WordPress Theme Generator, all you have to do is mess with the settings in the left side of the page, like site name, menu layout, sidebar location, overall scheme setup, text scheme, and a few others, and then press Preview at the end. If you’re happy with what you see in the preview area, you can Save the theme (ZIP file and individual theme files available) or change those settings some more, if you don’t.

Offering support from WP 2.1 up to 2.8 and being able to generate themes with widgets and tags support, WordPress Theme Generator is one of those online resources you must not miss… as long as you’re one of those working with WordPress, of course!

Compatibility: I had a sudden crash in IE8, but WordPress Theme Generator is supposed to work with all major browser, and since I wasn’t able to make it crash once again, I guess we’re talking about a pretty solid tool
